Edge

DeFi opportunities are scattered across dozens of chains and hundreds of protocols. Yield shifts, governance votes, whale movements, and liquidity migrations happen constantly. Tracking them manually does not scale. Edge consolidates model-detected alpha-like market signals into a single, filterable feed that updates in real time.

Edge is the first phase of the Almanak Workflow. It surfaces the raw material that feeds into Build and ultimately Deploy.

EDGE Content is experimental, informational and non-personalized - users must independently review and verify it before taking any action. It is not financial advice, research, due diligence, endorsement, or a recommendation.

Signals

What Signals Are

Almanak runs 46 specialized detection agents that continuously scan on-chain and off-chain data sources. When an agent identifies a potentially actionable opportunity, it publishes a signal. Each signal carries:

  • Alpha Score (0-100): an informational model score used to rank signals in the feed, composed of the opportunity's potential return, adjusted for confidence and risk.
  • Confidence (0-1): how certain the detection agent is about the underlying data.
  • Risk Level: low, medium, or high.
  • Expiration: when the opportunity is expected to decay or close.
  • Chain and Tokens: which networks and assets are involved.

Signals are scored, deduplicated, and verified through a multi-model consensus process before appearing in the feed. Scores reflect model output only and are not verification, due diligence, or a recommendation.

Signal Categories

Signals are grouped by domain, each with a color code in the interface:

Category Color Examples
Yield / Opportunity Green LP arbitrage, lending rate spikes, vault benchmarks, bribe tracking, RWA yield
Market Intelligence Blue Whale alerts, smart money moves, funding rate extremes, liquidation clusters, OI divergence
Discovery / Narrative Violet New protocol launches, narrative momentum, sentiment shifts, airdrop catalysts, TVL migration
Governance Amber Governance proposals, token unlocks, emission schedule changes, developer activity
Technical Gray Revenue spikes, health factor warnings, protocol metrics divergence
Risk / Security Red Exploit detection, stablecoin depeg risk, LST/LRT depeg, RWA backing concerns

Reading a Signal

The alpha score determines how strongly a signal is rated:

Score Classification Meaning
80-100 High Conviction Strong opportunity, feeds the Almanak pipeline automatically (user review still required)
60-79 Strong Worth investigating further
40-59 Moderate Monitor, but not actionable yet
20-39 Weak Low priority
0-19 Noise Filtered out by default

Confidence shows the detection agent's certainty in the underlying data. A high alpha score with low confidence may indicate an opportunity that needs manual verification. The expiration countdown shows urgency: act before the window closes.

Filtering

The signal feed supports filtering by:

  • Signal type: yield, whale, governance, discovery, etc.
  • Chain: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, BSC, and more.
  • Token: filter to signals involving specific tokens.
  • Minimum alpha score: set a floor to hide weaker signals.

The feed auto-refreshes every 15 seconds and supports infinite scroll pagination.

Premium Signals

Signals with an alpha score of 80 or higher are classified as Premium Signals. These represent the highest-conviction opportunities detected by the system.

Premium signals appear in the feed alongside regular signals. You can see the signal's category, chain, confidence, potential return, and age, but the title and detailed analysis are hidden until unlocked.

Unlocking a premium signal:

  1. Click on a premium signal in the feed (identified by a lock icon and blurred title).
  2. A confirmation dialog shows your remaining unlock balance for the week.
  3. Click Unlock Signal to reveal the full details. Each unlock permanently grants access to that signal.

Weekly unlock limits by plan:

Plan Premium unlocks per week
Free 2
Pro 10
Max Unlimited

Unlock budgets reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC. Unused unlocks do not roll over. Once a signal is unlocked, it stays accessible permanently regardless of plan changes.

Users on the Max plan see all premium signals automatically without needing to unlock them.

See the Plans page for details on upgrading.

From Signal to Strategy

Clicking a signal opens its detail drawer with the full analysis, related tokens, and risk context. From here, the Generate Strategy action sends the signal directly to Almanak Code, which uses the signal's context to auto-generate a strategy PRD and executable Python code for users to optimize and configure further.

Yields

What the Yield Table Shows

The Yields tab presents a sortable table of DeFi yield opportunities across protocols and chains. Each row shows:

  • Pool name and underlying tokens
  • Protocol (Aave, Uniswap, Pendle, Morpho, etc.)
  • Chain
  • Type: Pool, Vault, or RWA
  • APY: current annualized yield
  • TVL: total value locked in the pool
  • Safety Score: an informational (non-audited) risk heuristic

Safety Scores

Safety scores provide a high level, informational view generated from available inputs on the risk profile of a yield opportunity:

Score Color Meaning
70+ Green Well-established, low risk
40-69 Yellow Moderate risk, review before entering
20-39 Orange Higher risk, proceed with caution
Below 20 Red High risk, significant concerns

Regardless of the score, independent user's review is always required.

Filtering Yields

Filter by chain, included tokens, yield type (Pool/Vault/RWA), and free-text search. The table refreshes on the same 15-second cadence as the signal feed.
